Concert with Joo Kraus

Trossingen University of Music Jazz/Pop Faculty • 2021

In October 2021, at Kesselhaus Trossingen, the audience experienced a session with original compositions and arrangements by Joo Kraus, but also compositions by Michael Jackson, Freddie Hubbard, and lecturers from the Trossingen University of Music Jazz department.

Together with Joo Kraus, initiator Anika Neipp (vocals), Matthias Anton (saxophone), Tobias Hoffmann (guitar), Raphael Lott (piano), Olaf Taranczewski (piano), German Klaiber (bass), and Martin Deufel (drums) let the pieces emerge live right in front of the audience.

Joo Kraus has been nominated for two Grammys, won the “Echo Jazz” as the best German trumpeter, and six “German Jazz Awards” in gold – he's a true exceptional artist. Whether Joo performs with Cuban pianist Omar Sosa, Paula Morelenbaum, or his own quartet, there's always that unmistakable sound: Modest and powerful, infectious playing joy paired with sensitive awareness for the fellow musicians.
